Explanation of professional terms for LED large screens. LED large screens are high-tech products. The most commonly used in the market are outdoor advertising LED large screens, monochrome subtitle LED large screens, and indoor small-pitch high-definition LEDs for product and corporate culture promotion. Large screen, so many customers with different usage environments and functional requirements have what indicators for the purchase of large LED screens. With the rapid development of LED large screen technology, LED large screen products are showing diversified development. Today's LED large screens are widely used in all walks of life. However, for novices, many professional terms of LED large screens are I don’t understand, so what are the common technical terms for LED large screens? 1. LED pixel module: LEDs are arranged in a matrix or segment, and are prefabricated into standard-sized modules. There are 8*8 pixel modules and 8-character 7-segment digital modules commonly used in indoor large screens.

Outdoor large screen pixel modules have 4*4, 8*8, 8*16, 16*16, 32*32, 64*64 pixel and other specifications. The pixel module for outdoor LED large screen is also called tube bundle module because each pixel is composed of more than two LED tube bundles. 2. LED brightness: The brightness of a light-emitting diode is generally expressed by Luminous Intensity (Luminous Intensity), and the unit is candela cd; 1000ucd (microcandela) = 1 mcd (millicandela), 1000mcd = 1 cd.

The light intensity of a single LED for indoor use is generally 500ucd-50mcd, while the light intensity of a single LED for outdoor use should generally be 100mcd-1000mcd, or even more than 1000mcd. 3. Resolution: The number of rows and columns of LED large screen pixels is called the resolution of the LED large screen. Resolution is the total number of pixels of a large screen, which determines the information capacity of a large screen.

4. Pixel (Pixel) and pixel diameter: Each LED light-emitting unit (point) that can be individually controlled in the LED large screen is called a pixel (or pixel). Pixel diameter ∮ refers to the diameter of each pixel, in millimeters. 5. Dual-primary color: Most of the color LED large screens today are dual-primary color screens, that is, each pixel has two LED dies: one is a red die, and the other is a green die.

The pixel is red when the red light tube core is bright, the pixel is green when the green light tube core is bright, and the pixel is yellow when the red and green tube cores are bright at the same time. Among them, red and green are called primary colors. 6. Grayscale: Grayscale refers to the degree of light and shade changes of pixels. The grayscale of a base color generally has 8 to 12 levels.

For example, if the grayscale of each primary color is 256 levels, for a dual-primary color screen, the displayed color is 256×256=64K colors, which is also called a 256-color large screen. 7. Full color: red and green double primary colors plus blue primary color, the three primary colors constitute full color. Since the technology of forming full-color blue tubes and pure green tube cores is now mature, full-color LED large screens are basically used in the market.
