When using LED screens, especially full-color LED screens, the air switch frequently trips, which is extremely annoying. What is the reason?

First, the layout of the leakage protector is unreasonable. Due to the particularity of the LED screen installation, such as line damage and other reasons, as well as the movement of the leakage protector itself, the leakage protector will frequently trip. In addition to strengthening management, the leakage protector should also be reasonably arranged according to the actual situation. As the total protection of electrical fire and electrical short circuit, the rated leakage action current of the leakage protector can be selected between 200 ~ 500 mA, and the rated leakage action time can be selected between 0.2 ~ 0.3S.


Second, there is no effective secondary or tertiary leakage protection. Since there is no effective secondary or tertiary leakage protection within the protection range, the final leakage protector in the switch box is the main protection of electrical equipment. If the final leakage protector is not installed, damaged or improperly selected, it may cause frequent tripping of the upper leakage protector. Therefore, only by forming an effective secondary or tertiary leakage protection mode within each protection range can the frequent tripping of the LED screen leakage protector be effectively reduced.


Third, the electric load cannot be completely balanced. The leakage protectors we use at present, whether they are electromagnetic or electronic, use magnetic induction voltage transformers to pick up the leakage current in the main circuit of electrical equipment. It is impossible to completely balance the phase or three-phase four-wire, and the three-phase power load of the LED screen cannot be completely balanced. Under high current or high overvoltage, the magnetic ring with high permeability will induce a certain electromotive force. If the electromotive force reaches a certain level, the leakage protector will trip. In addition, the leakage protector has an uncertain operating area between the rated leakage operating current and the rated leakage non-operating current. When the leakage current of the leakage protector fluctuates in this area, it may cause the leakage protector to trip irregularly.


Fourth, the unreasonable choice of the protector may also lead to its open circuit tripping. When the rated leakage current used in the switch box exceeds 30MA or more than twice the rated current of the electrical equipment, a time-delay leakage protector should be selected. As the rated leakage current increases or the protection sensitivity decreases, the upper-level leakage protector may act, resulting in tripping.

To sum up, we can know that there are many reasons for the LED screen to trip. Therefore, in order to solve the problem of frequent leakage, it is necessary to arrange the leakage protector reasonably, reduce the protection scope of the secondary or tertiary leakage protector, and select the wiring and leakage protector correctly. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen power management and improve the comprehensive quality of power users, which can not only improve power safety, but also solve the problem of frequent tripping of leakage protectors.
